Opposition expressed by QA Council to the suicide fence

Last month we reported the Queen Anne Community Council voted to oppose the construction of the Aurora Avenue suicide fence on based on a number of factors.  Several members were even more concerned after viewing the “sample fence” that was put up for people’s viewing and comment.

We received an email from the QA Community Council with the full letter that has been sent to the Landmarks Preservation Board. This letter has been posted in its entirety for you to read.

This Landmarks Preservation Board may possibly the last chance to stop the construction of this fence.  If you would like to voice your opinion, please send your comments to Please send your comments to Elizabeth Chave at the Landmarks Preservation Board, 700 5th Avenue, Suite 1700, P.
