On Friday, May 1, a number of Queen Anne residents attended the swearing in ceremony for former Governor Gary Locke.  Locke has been appointed by

President Obama to head up the Department of Commerce and was officially sworn in by federal judge in the U.S. Court Richard Jones in Seattle last month.

In a small, private ceremony at the White House attended by friends and family and a strong representation from the press corp, President Obama said, “We like to do things twice here to make sure that we get it right.”
