At the last Queen Anne Community Council meeting, a discussion took place regarding the future of the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market.  As reported by the Queen Anne News, there’s a good chance the the market will remain on West Crockett Ave. vs. moving to Coe Elementary School.  There are few concessions being worked out, but the decision should come soon.

“One variable that greatly improves the success of a market is the proximity of the market to the commercial core of the district,” Karen Selander, senior community development specialist with the OED, wrote in an email. There is a demonstrated benefit to both the market and the businesses in the commercial core if they are in close proximity.”
